DVD-R Media, 100 blank disc spindle. I keep these on hand also, some DVD Drives have trouble with DVD+R, some have trouble with DVD-R, some work great with both. Because of this, I keep both on hand. Once you find what works for you, just keep ordering that kind!

1500VA UPS... This is a big UPS... A UPS provides power during a brown-out, and protects you from lightning and other surges. This is a big model designed for office use. This UPS is big enough to power up to perhaps 4 or 5 computers (depending on power usage of those computers). This is high-end for home use, but great for office use. If you have extraordinarily sensitive equipment, this would be a great choice.

850VA UPS, suitable for good home protection, or basic office protection. Depending on power usage, could be powerful enough for 2-4 computers.

425VA - A basic UPS, best for home use for a single computer you want to protect from lightning.

Kill-A-Watt Electrical Meter - This Meter shows you live power usage of anything plugged into it. It also keeps a record of how many Kilo-Watts of power have been used since it was plugged into power (or last power outage), it has a clock showing how long it's been on also. Using that information, you can, say, plug your refrigerator or laptop into it, leave it on a few days, then determine exactly how much power has been used in xx hours, telling you how much of your monthly bill is from that device. Very handy to determine what devices you have that are sucking power, especially important here in Hawaii with one of the highest rates for electricity in the country.
